The Parmigiani Fleurier story begins in 1976, when Michel Parmigiani spent decades restoring antique watches, giving him training encompassing more than five centuries of watchmaking history. It was this knowledge that let him to found the Parmigiani Fleurier brand in 1996 in the heart of Val-de-Travers. His experience with such craftsmanship, history and expertise means that every timepiece is fastidiously made in-house, from the balance spring to the case and dial, resulting in instantly familiar, yet thoroughly unique, motifs. With more than 20 men's and ladies' watch collections, 2006 saw the release of the Bugatti 370 driving watch, which was awarded the Watch of the Year Award in the Japanese press. Other milestones of the brand include the 2014 Tonda 1950 Tourbillon, the world’s thinnest automatic flying tourbillon watch, and the Tonda Chronor Anniversaire, Parmigiani's 20th anniversary signature model with a fully integrated chronograph manufactured from solid gold.
