Harry Winston, the American in Paris, is no stranger to this city and has had a boutique here since 1957 and first showed at the Biennale in 1974. This year the house looks back into its archives for designs that never made it beyond the drawing board, particularly those that use bright, coloured stones and none more so than the stunning mandarin garnet in the necklace above. The collection is called "Royal Gardens" and pays homage to Mr Winston's love of Paris. To help place the collection think a retro elegance a la Mad Men with lots of ice. Here are some sketches of the jewels that will help you visualise the treats that Mr Winston has up his sleeve.
