Tomasz Donocik channels Bladerunner in Electric Night jewels

The Electric Night collection from one of London's most exciting talents, Tomasz Donocik, features neon-bright coloured gemstones with an 80s edge.

Tomasz Donocik leaves behind the dark, gothic undertones that have defined many of his previous creation and offers us a burst of neon colour with his new Electric Night fine jewellery collection.

Inspired by 1980s science fiction - the cult classic Blade Runner - baguette-cut coloured gemstones mimic the movie's Art Deco-style futuristic skyscrapers. Rows of amethysts, tanzanites, iolites, sapphires, topaz, emeralds and diamonds create lightning bolts of colour framed in rose gold.

Bold cocktail rings sit alongside dazzling necklaces and - my favourite - interchangeable earring cuffs that can be turned into drop earrings for a decadent evening look punctuated with vivid coloured gemstones. Some of the pieces are also available in elegant combinations of rose gold and white diamonds, or white gold and emeralds.

After graduating from the Royal College of Art, Polish-born Tomasz designed several men's jewellery collections before turning his attention to fine jewellery for women in 2011. Nicknamed the "dark prince", his decadent and romantic jewels with a rock 'n' roll edge have quickly earmarked him as one of London's most exciting talents.

This month, Tomasz will once again be showcasing a selection of his designs at the British Fashion Council's Rock Vault exhibition, which runs alongside London Fashion Week. He has been a regular fixture at the show, curated by Stephen Webster, since its inception three years ago, but this season is likely to be his last. For the past two years Tomasz has also been part of the Rock Vault line-up at Couture Las Vegas, where he won two awards in 2013 for "Best New Designer" and "Diamonds over $20,000".

With this latest collection there is no doubt that Tomasz Donocik will continue to make a name for himself on both sides of the Atlantic.
