H.Stern has remained at the forefront of fashion for decades for its acclaimed designs and passionate detailing.
Founded in 1945 in Rio, H.Stern has become one of the world's pre-eminent fine jewellery houses, with approximately 150 stores around the globe.
Behind the rising brand was Hans Stern, a young German émigré and a "carioca" at heart. In 1945, at age 22, he had founded a small gemstone trading business, which was to be the beginning of this success story. For more than 70 years, H.Stern has solidified its prestigious image in Brazil and abroad, becoming synonymous with beauty and good taste, be it in New York, Paris, Frankfurt, Rio, São Paulo or Tel Aviv.
To celebrate its 70-year history in 2015, H.Stern returned to its origins and revived the star, creating a memorable collection that graphically represents fascinating celestial phenomena. The impressive 70th Anniversary collection showcases the unmistakable character of balancing bold designs with traditional jewellery expertise, a signature of H.Stern’s legacy.
A visit to the H.Stern Museum, located alongside the flagship boutique in Ipanema - the brand's headquarters - reveals a vast array of tourmalines. Over the course of his life, Hans Stern collected more than 1,000 tourmalines in a wide array of colors - they fascinated him with their range of color and intensity. This lifetime collection is available in a private room that also houses other unique and mysterious gemstones, both rough and cut.
At the museum you can learn about the enchanting process behind H.Stern’s ateliers housed in the heart of Ipanema. On a private tour, guests are invited to discover a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the secrets of the brand’s jewellery-making.
Watch brands sold at the boutique include H.Stern, TAG Heuer and Baume & Mercier.
The boutique sells only H.Stern jewellery pieces, which are all crafted in-house.
