EDITOR'S REVIEW
To celebrate the 85th anniversary of the iconic Reverso watch, Jaeger-LeCoultre pushed the envelope and equipped the slim, rectangular case of the Reverso with a spherical tourbillon known as a Gyrotourbillon. This kind of complication is usually reserved for collections with generous round cases and enough height to let the tourbillon put on its aerial show. In order to accommodate the bi-axial flying tourbillon, master watchmakers at Jaeger-LeCoultre had to trim the width and height of the complication by 30%. The front of the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon features a finely grained white hour and minutes dial with a day/night indicator at 11 o’clock, and small seconds on the Gyrotourbillon, while the bridges have been decorated with an attractive sunburst guilloché pattern. If you swivel the platinum case, an entirely different panorama is revealed with a secondary hour and minutes disc - and a day/night indicator - allowing you to set your home time while travelling. The Gyrotourbillon is also visible through the new manual-winding, open-worked Calibre 179, lovingly decorated by skilled artisans, and is presented in a limited edition of 75 pieces.
