EDITOR'S REVIEW
The 'X' Lien de Chaumet motif has been an enduring symbol of the House of Chaumet since its inception in 1780. Symbolic of the lovers' knot popular in the 17th Century, the 'X' has adorned many Chaumet collections. The simplicity of Chaumet's new Lien watches is emblematic of Chaumet's Parisian elegance and heritage. This Lien de Chaumet timepiece features a white-silvered galvanised dial surrounded by 64 brilliant-cut diamonds set in a pink gold case. The case incorporates the 'X' motif by ingeniously forming the elegant link holding the matt taupe alligator strap in place. The detailing on the case is impeccable, including a beautiful cabochon mother of pearl on the crown at 3 o'clock, reflecting the feminine charm of the watch. With a Swiss-made self-winding automatic movement, the watch has rounded rose gold hands displaying hour, minute and second functions, and a date aperture at 4.30.
