Designed with explorers in mind, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer watch acquired its clearly distinctive hour and minute hands from experience in the Himalayas. Designed for optimal legibility, even in the dark, the watch features its landmark black dial with luminescent indices, and large Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, all housed in a 904L stainless steel case. The superalloy is extremely resistant and highly polished, maintaining its classic style and beauty even in the harshest environments. At the heart of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer is a calibre 3132 self-winding mechanical movement. Developed entirely in-house, this movement features a Parachon hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers, offering excellent resistance in almost any environment. The clean lines and smooth bezel combine perfectly to create the robust, yet elegant, look that has made the Rolex watch such an icon.
