Exclusive reader event in London: The Jewellery Editor hosts pearl knowledge evening with Tasaki on Bond Street on 11th December.
6:30-8:30 pm
Sure to be a fascinating evening, Maria Doulton and Christine Pasquier, co-founders of The Jewellery Editor are offering a special treat for a small group of jewellery lovers. As well as the chance to hear Maria reveal the ‘Five things you need to know about pearls’ there will be time to handle Tasaki’s glamorous pearl jewels at our luxurious Bond Street event. From exciting avant garde catwalk jewels to exquisite strands of pearls, Tasaki is a world leader in contemporary pearl jewellery.
We are offering 25 lucky readers the chance to spend an evening at Tasaki’s new Bond Street boutique focussed around an insightful, illustrated talk about pearls. On hand will be a pearl craftswoman from Japan who, before your eyes, will create a pearl necklace from a selection of 1,000 lustrous Akoya pearls grown in the Japanese jeweller’s own oyster beds. Champagne and Japanese canapés will be served in a relaxed atmosphere that will allow our guests to discover and try on a wide range of Tasaki pearl jewels as well as discovering first-hand the marvels of these little miracles of nature with leading world experts.
We are asking for a £10 contribution that will go to the Blue Marine Foundation, a charity dedicated to creating marine reserves and establishing sustainable models of fishing.
A chance for our readers to attend a London event where Maria will talk about the five key facts to bear in mind when buying at pearl jewellery. Pearl experts from Japan will be on hand to answer any questions and share their first-hand knowledge about pearls, from how they are cultivated, harvested, selected and finally made into jewels with Tasaki’s signature contemporary look.
