Louis Vuitton presents Les Ardentes jewellery collection that is based around two unusual diamond cuts. Developed by this Parisian luxury house that only a year ago entered the world of high jewellery, diamonds chez Vuitton mimic its stylised flower and star monograms. More often seen on a trunk or a handbag, these forms now find their way onto jewels. The Flower Cut has 65 facets and the Star cut has 77 facets, compared to the brilliant cut with its 58 facets. With diamonds, the more facets the more sparkle. White gold and barely there settings highlight the diamonds and the effect is like looking at a starry sky at night. Lorenz Baümer is the jeweller behind this diamond creations that capture the essence of this house that has evolved from trunk maker to luxury purveyor supreme.
