The red carpet is the perfect opportunity for spotting amazing jewels, so I went behind the scenes in London to see some of the jewellery that was worn by celebrities to the BAFTAs.
First stop was Chopard, who showed me the very large diamond-set bird necklace that Cate Blanchett wore when collecting her award for Best Actress in 'Blue Jasmine'. We got a good close-up look of this necklace, which caught everyone's attention as the star stepped out onto the red carpet.
We also saw Uma Thurman's stunning 32 carat necklace of emerald-cut diamonds as well as Léa Seydoux's eco-conscious Chopard Green Carpet Collection diamond earrings.
I stopped by Asprey to see the Storm earrings, ring and bracelet worn by Helen Mirren to collect her BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award. This light-as-air swirl of diamonds were designed by Shaun Leane, jewellery designer at Asprey. Chanel showed me the Camelia Galbé ring and earrings worn by Monika Vikander as well as the dainty Plume de Chanel ring that Sai Bennett chose to complete her red carpet look.
David Morris was were Lily Allen headed to for her red carpet jewels to go with her eye-searingly bright Alexander McQueen dress. Phoebe Morris showed me the long finger ring, bracelet and earrings chosen worn by Lily Allen on the red carpet.
I also took a closer look at the long strand of Yoko London South Sea pearls that Samantha Barks wore as well as Lupita Nyong'o's bold gold cuffs by Ana Khouri. With such a diverse range of jewels on the red carpet at the BAFTAs, what can we expect from the Oscars next week?
