Brigitte Adolph followed in her father’s footsteps in becoming a goldsmith, before studying jewellery design at the University of Pforzheim in Germany’s famous "Goldstadt". Now based in Karlsruhe, Brigitte designs jewellery with elaborate filigree patterns that resemble delicate lace set with diamonds and coloured gemstones. She has won several awards for her work, including the Red Dot Design Award in 2007 for her Loop necklace and the Schmuck Award in 2009 and 2012. While her designs are inspired by antique lace collars and old paintings, Brigitte’s jewels also have a contemporary feel that is both elegant and feminine.
