Doris Hangartner discovered her passion for gems and jewelry early on. In 1992 she completed her Graduate Gemologist degree at the GIA in Santa Monica. Over the years, Doris has gleaned in-depth knowledge of the international jewelry business, working for a number of prestigious companies, where her responsibilities covered grading, valuation, purchasing, merchandising and sales for gems, diamonds and pearls, as well as antique, vintage and estate jewelry. In addition, Doris Hangartner participated in high-end jewelry auctions in Los Angeles and St. Moritz. She has also run private jewelry sales worldwide, including in Zurich, London and Palm Beach. These experiences complement her exquisite taste in fine stone selection, trustworthy gem valuation, and individualized jewelry design.
