Roman jeweller Fabio Salini is a geologist by training but worked in the design studio of Bulgari before setting up on his own. He favours unusual materials such as carbon fibre and titanium as he seeks to create jewels that break from the tradition of gold and the better-known design formats of traditional jewellery.
