Fulco di Verdura remains one of the most influential Italian high jewellery designers of all time. Renowned for his opulent, playful and fun designs, Verdura's career began with an introduction to designer Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel. He opened his own high jewellery salon, which he called Verdura, in 1939.
