Gillian Steinhardt studied Fine Arts degrees in fashion design, art history and textile art, and worked for many years as a celebrity stylist and costume designer. Frustrated by her inability to find jewels to compliment the looks she was creating as a stylist, Gillian Steinhardt Jewelry was born, inspired by ancient artefacts, the glamour of the 1970s and the geometry of the Art Deco period.
