Since 1868, Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has been producing luxury watches, with technology and development at the heart of every timepiece. Florentine Ariosto Jones, an American engineer and watchmaker who founded the International Watch Company, aimed to create a brand that would fuse Swiss craftsmanship with modern US engineering technology to manufacture movements and watch parts for the American market. It comes as no surprise that the IWC motto is Probus Scafusia meaning "good, solid craftsmanship from Schaffhausen", which continues to hold true to this day.
