Kenya-based fashion turned fine jewellery designer Penny Winter uses rough stones to create chunky, large jewels with an ethnic feel and a fashion-led edge. Penny Winter has worked with Gemfields to create jewels using the London-based stone suppliers amethysts and other precious coloured gemstones. She also uses native materials and employs local craftspeople whose different skills give her jewels a very African flavour.
