Italian fashion house Gianni Versace, more commonly known as Versace, is recognised worldwide for its eccentric designs, strong colour sense and clean lines. After the death of Gianni Versace in 1997, the designer's sister Donatella took over as creative director, with his brother Santo becoming CEO. The geometric shapes and bold designs from Versace are loved by Hollywood's elite, with two of his most notable creations topping the most iconic dresses of all time list. "The Green Dress" worn by Jennifer Lopez to the Academy Awards in 2000, was voted the fifth most iconic dress of all time, with Elizabeth Hurley and the designer's "Pin Dress" taking the top spot. Since then the company has grown and branched out, producing fragrances, leather goods and luxury watches.
