Trust De GRISOGONO to bring a bit of the party spirit to the red carpet yesterday on day six of the Cannes Film Festival 2014. Despite the stormy skies and hair-whipping winds, Cheryl Cole beamed in front of the papparazzi in flamboyant monochrome De GRISOGONO jewels: black and white diamond high jewellery earrings and a diamond and jet ring from the Gocce collection.
With a hint of the features that brought grown women to their knees, Elvis Presley's granddaughter Riley Keough also chose De GRISOGONO for her red carpet entrance. Her oversized high jewellery earrings featured a colour clash of gems: emerald beads contrasted with purple sapphires and diamonds.
Julianne Moore pulled off another killer red carpet appearance for the premiere of Maps to the Stars. Cute and cosy in a feathered Chanel frock, she completed her pretty look with diamond flower earrings, a ring and a sparkling cuff, all by Chopard.
At the premiere of Fox Catcher, Indian actress Sonam Kapoor made her second red carpet appearance of the festival in a sheer sari-gown by Anamika Khanna and an exquisite kundan polki choker necklace with pearl drops from her mothers signature jewellery line, 'Sunita Kapoor'. She reemerged later that evening for Chopard's Backstage party at the Cannes-Mandelieu aerodrome looking fresh and spring-like in a Chopard yellow diamond necklace that perfectly complemented her lilac chiffon dress.
For its Backstage party, Chopard brought the golden age of Italian cinema to life by recreating famous movie sets within the aerodrome. During the evening, the Swiss jeweller sent a line-up of supermodels down the catwalk in some of its most impressive high jewellery creations. By contrast, Suki Waterhouse channeled 90s cool in a silk slip frock, dressing it up with some high-carat diamond Chopard jewels and a perfect pout.
