With London Jewellery Week in full swing, it's the perfect time to explore different ways of wearing diamonds. Here is my selection from the Treasure jewellery show that offer alternative ways of showing off wearing these sparklers. A few minutes into my travels around Treasure and it is clear that a big rock set into the middle of a ring is not the only way to wear diamonds. Those creative jewellers showing at Treasure (from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 June) offer interesting suggestions for diamond lovers. Tom Rucker's lighter-than-air, wonderous webs of platinum don't fail to fascinate. Tom laser-welds through a powerful microscope each and every one of the thousands of joints in these earrings. Enhanced by the sparkle of diamonds, these magnificent earrings are an outstanding example of excellence and dedication to contemporary craftsmanship. Jessica Poole's delicate trumpet-shaped rings curl around the finger like the tendril of a shy plant and open up into a shimmering of diamonds, each of which Jessica sets herself. The overall effect is discreet and highly individual and I can see this ring as an interesting alternative to the traditional engagement ring. I like the unusual combination of the three flat minimalist spirals with a sprinkling of diamonds that is the work of Daniela Dobesova. Each hand-made coil is flexible and bouncy, a testament to the work that has gone into this highly tactile jewel. Another interesting gold and diamond pendant is Joanna Dahdah's ball pendant in white gold set with diamonds. The shimmer of diamonds over the entire surface means that with every move you make, the pendant will be sending out your very own little diamond light-show. From the Lebanon, Nada Ghazal, goes for a chunky organic look with the Malak rings with 'icy' diamonds. The feel is very much 'luxe au sauvage' which is a welcome change for the highly polished, symmetric perfection of the classic diamond ring.
