Some motifs become more than decoration — they become part of a brand’s DNA. At Louis Vuitton, the Monogram Flower, first imagined by Georges-Louis Vuitton in 1896, has served that purpose for over a century. In 2015, the Maison brought the motif into the world of fine jewellery with the launch of Color Blossom: a collection defined by luminous gemstones, soft volumes and feminine energy.
A particularly notable development came in 2017 with the launch of the Color Blossom BB line — a scaled-down, more delicate expression of the collection. Nicknamed “BB” for bébé, or baby, the pieces stood out for their charmingly small proportions. With dainty pendants, stackable rings and understated studs, they were designed to be worn in multiples and layered freely, bringing a playful, youthful energy to the collection.
Now, the story continues. Louis Vuitton has expanded Color Blossom with 27 new creations that showcase the motif across an even wider range of proportions and palettes. These pieces — spanning sautoirs, rings, bracelets, pendants and earrings — revisit the Sun and Star designs at the heart of the collection, and add richer combinations of stone, gold and diamond.
Each jewel is built around a careful contrast of colour, texture and shape. Pink and white mother-of-pearl bring softness and sheen, malachite and cornelian add saturated earth tones, while onyx and amazonite offer deeper shades, set in warm rose or radiant yellow gold. Many of the new styles are accented with round diamonds, used sparingly to draw out light and detail.
The collection includes new four-motif bracelets in pink gold, pairing polished gold with mother-of-pearl or malachite and scattered diamonds. Longer sautoirs — fluid by nature — offer fresh layering options and give the Flower shape a more architectural feel when worn doubled or stacked.
Layering remains central to the way Color Blossom is worn, but so too is the idea of transformation. The pieces are designed to be mixed across stones, formats and colours, allowing each wearer to create a version of the collection that’s personal and expressive.
The campaign, fronted by Louis Vuitton jewellery ambassador Ana de Armas, reinforces that message. Pictured in soft light, wearing a mix of pendants, rings and bracelets, she reflects the collection’s versatility and ease — and its ability to move seamlessly from everyday to occasion.
Through this latest evolution, Color Blossom continues to show how a historic symbol can remain relevant, expressive and full of life. More than a reference to the past, the Monogram Flower becomes, once again, a language for the present.
