Mellerio dits Meller was the first jeweller to open on Rue de la Paix and its archives date back to pre-revolutionary France. With the 16th generation currently overseeing operations, the Maison is intrinsically French and renowned for its bespoke designs, personal service and unwavering commitment to its craft.
The ornately carved wooden panels of the boutique exterior hint at a great history waiting to be discovered, but the interior of the boutique is remarkably, and refreshingly, understated for a house with more than 400 years of history behind it. High ceilings and large built-in displays exhibit the work of master craftsmen who create every piece by hand upstairs on the 3rd floor. Travel down the spiral staircase to discover a private museum with historic jewels from its unrivalled archives, some of which are for sale.

Mellerio dits Meller entered the world of watchmaking in 1993. Its signature oval case design is inspired by the smooth, round lines of pebbles that have been washed by a mountain stream. Called La Neuf, or The New One, the collection is available for men and women and includes a selection of men’s complications, entitled Le Grand 9, and a colourful selection of gem-set watches for women.
For more than 400 years, every part of the jewellery-making process at Mellerio dits Meller, from design and stone selection to creation, is undertaken in-house. It even has its own cut of diamond called the Mellerio Cut. The Maison’s atelier of master jewellers and silversmiths can be found above the Rue de la Paix boutique, where the workshop has remained since first opening in 1815. Whether crafting delicate petals in gold for the Eden Rose collection or the annual Coupe des Mousquetaires trophy for the French Open, Mellerio dits Meller remains dedicated to its long tradition of excellence in fine jewellery craftsmanship.
Mellerio dits Meller’s bridal collection, sweetly named A Lifetime Piece of Jewellery, contains a wide selection of rings, from the traditional Romantics collection to the modern and bold Words of Love collection.
