The Silvia Furmanovich boutique in São Paulo reflects the natural elegance of her jewellery, which she creates using truly innovative materials.
The creative work of designer Silvia Furmanovich is closely linked to her life story. As a child, she was constantly inspired by jewellery-making, as she observed her father, the goldsmith Salvador Longobardi, at work in their home atelier. Heritage from the past merges seamlessly with the present, transformed into jewellery creations that reveal a sensitive balance between tradition and innovation.
Nature is a great source of inspiration for Silvia - from gemstones that attain their maximum lustre through to impeccable polishing. Gold is used in combination with ivory, coral, turquoise and precious woods. The search for novel materials is her trademark and portrays the inventive spirit of her collections. Bracelets woven out of porcelain beads, adorned with gold and precious stones, are just an example of her singular pieces, and each jewellery collection evokes a particular moment in the designer's life.
In 1997, Silvia Furmanovich set up her personal atelier to create her own pieces. Her first boutique opened in 2008, and the Cidade Jardim boutique was inaugurated in 2011.
