Giulians was founded in 1966 by Ivan Vortouni, a young jeweller brimming with passion for outstanding gemstones. Ivan and his wife Vivienne rapidly established the jewellery business, which is renown for its collection of the finest Australian opals and custom-made statement pieces.
Australian South Sea pearls and white and pink diamonds were also soon featuring in the elegant items expertly crafted in their workshop. Ivan’s daughters, Trina and Dana, head the sales team that prides itself on knowledgeable advice and the ability to translate clients’ imaginations into unique creations. Giulians caters to classic or contemporary preferences, resulting in a loyal clientele from all over the globe
Creative director and managing director Gary Coffey is an accomplished designer and master jeweller. He has conceived and crafted innovative, cutting-edge pieces through to intricate and traditional jewels for private commission clients, which include Rod Stewart, Luciano Pavarotti, Hillary Clinton and Chris Martin. And following in his footsteps, his son Joel is now also a master jeweller. The future of Giulians is assured.
Giulians, with a client list stretching from Hollywood to royalty, has garnered a string of Australian and international design awards, as well as retail kudos. Gary is also skilled in drawing and designing, with a personal inclination towards classically simple concepts, using quality gems.
