EDITOR'S REVIEW
This stunning Taffin jewellery ring in sunny yellow features a large sapphire on a rose gold band covered in high-tech ceramic. As the nephew of French couturier Hubert de Givenchy, New York-based jewellery designer James Taffin de Givenchy credits his uncle with inspiring his approach to design. After working for American fine jeweller Verdura, James launched Taffin in 1996, creating one-of-a-kind jewels that are akin to works of art. His vibrant pieces often combine coloured gemstones with unusual materials, such as rubber or ceramic. The latter is one of James’ favourite materials to work with and he has perfected a technique that allows him to use the durable ceramic to add vivid flashes of colour to his jewels.
