A relaunch of Alpina's military-issue pilots' watches, the Alpina Startimer Automatic Chronograph "Blackstar" pilot's watch combines vintage appeal with contemporary styling and technology. The 44mm black PVD-coated stainless steel case houses an anthracite sunray dial with the classic oversized luminescent numerals of pilot's watches, of vital importance in a dark cockpit. The dial features luminescent central hour and minute hands, while the seconds hand is crowned with the trademark Alpina red triangular counter-weight. The monochrome dial has two chronograph counters at 9 o'clock and at 3 o'clock. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback is the in-house calibre AL-860, a chronograph movement that provides a power reserve of more than 46 hours. Presented on a black leather strap, the pilot's watch is secured with a deployment buckle.
