EDITOR'S REVIEW
Making its eruption on the watchmaking scene in 1993, the Royal Oak Offshore made an impact with its oversized case and intrepid, macho soul. In 2014, Audemars Piguet celebrates the year of the Offshore with a tough new contender boasting superior resistance thanks to the use of high-tech white ceramic. The eye-catching 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Diver watch, already remarkable for its resilience and water-resistance of 300 metres, incorporates white Super Ceramic on the diver's bezel, case middle, pushers and crown making it virtually scratchproof. The white dial with blue accents features the hallmark "Méga Tapisserie" - or waffle pattern - of the Royal Oak Offshore watch collection and a rotating inner bezel with a blue diving scale. The in-house self-winding movement keeps the hours, minutes, central seconds and date in perfect synch, while the flexible white rubber strap with titanium pin buckle ensures the watch remains safely secured on the wrist.
