Maya silk and glass bead necklace

French jewellery designer Aurélie Bidermann has celebrated the traditional craft of passementerie while making this Maya necklace. Passementerie is the French art of creating elaborate, embellished trimmings. This necklace has been created by braiding together bright orange silk strings and decorating them with glass beads, which graduate in colour from yellow through orange to red. The clasp at the top of the necklace has been dipped in yellow gold to add a luxe edge to this bohemian design.
