EDITOR'S REVIEW
Baume & Mercier pays tribute to its past with the Clifton collection of timepieces. Inspired by a 1950s watch that is part of the curated collection at the Baume & Mercier museum, the Clifton collection is designed with the urban dweller in mind who is seeking a masculine yet elegant timepiece. The Clifton 43mm Chronograph ref. 10123 features all the refined sophistication of the original 1950s timepiece, with the elegant, tapered naturally blued steel hands and the Arabic numbers and baton indexes echoing the historical model. The sun-satin finished silvered dial has a day and date aperture at 3 o'clock. The chronograph records up to 12 hours on the apertures at 12, 6 and 9 o'clock and are operated using steel push pieces at 2 and 4 o'clock. With a frequency of 4Hz the chronograph can record events up to the nearest 1/8 of a second, providing exceptional accuracy. Through a sapphire crystal case back the exquisite Swiss made, hand assembled automatic movement ETA 7750 can be admired. The oscillating weight is decorated with snailed and Côtes de Genève engraving, with additional Côtes de Genève decoration adorning the circular grained bridges. With a 48-hour power reserve, the watch is waterproof up to 50m.
