EDITOR'S REVIEW
This impressive diamond tiara has something of a stellar status as it was worn by Lady Mary on the set of Downton Abbey and admired by almost 10 million viewers as she walked up the aisle. From Bentley & Skinner, the tiara is made up of a band of lifelike leaves with little clusters of blooms dotted along the branch, all set with old-cut diamonds totalling 45 carats. Each diamond is set into silver and then mounted on gold. The tiara, circa 1800, was originally designed to be worn high on the head though it can also be worn as a headband or even on the back of the head. Like many of the better tiaras of the era, it transforms into two asymmetrical brooches, extending the jewel’s use beyond your wedding day.
