Animeaux diamond amethyst earrings

These earrings are from Boucheron’s Animeaux collection of bejewelled creatures that the Parisian brand says will become companions for life. While you might not be able to spot this creature quite as quickly as some of Boucheron’s other animal creations, if you look at the mid section you will see the body of a fish swooping up into a dramatic fanned tail. The tail section, which is fitted with hooks to loop over the tops of the ears, has been made from a translucent purple lacquer, while the body, which conceals the clips for the lobes, is studded with amethysts. A cascade of diamonds leads down to long, faceted amethyst drops.
