EDITOR'S REVIEW
Celebrating the strong connection with aviation throughout the brand’s history, this Breguet Type XXI sports watch carries a vintage look, but with technical characteristics that place it firmly in the 21st century. The 42mm steel case has a delicately fluted caseband with a sapphire crystal caseback and a bi-directional rotating bezel. The slate grey dial is signed Breguet and features a day/night indicator at 3 o’clock, 12-hour totaliser and date at 6 o’clock, and small seconds at 9 o’clock. The self-winding chronograph movement with flyback function is numbered and also signed Breguet, and it has a sporty 48-hour power reserve. Breguet first began developing chronograph mechanisms for aeroplane cockpits, and then in 1935 for the wrist; a tradition that is kept alive with this Breguet Type XXI sports watch.
