An extraordinary dive watch on every front, Breitling’s Avenger II Seawolf is water-resistant to 3,000 metres. A champion of the abyss, the 45mm steel case and engraved bezel are covered with an ultra-resistant carbon-based black coating The unidirectional rotating bezel, used to calculate dive times, is fitted with four rider tabs to facilitate handling even with gloves. The decompression valve, double-gasket screw-locked crown and thick sapphire crystal on both sides of the watch are designed to handle the pressure of extreme dives. The bright ‘cobra yellow’ dial with its wide luminescent hour indices and hands comes with a date window at 3 o’clock. The automatic movement powering the time and calendar functions has been chronometer-certified by the COSC and can be viewed through the caseback. A limited edition of 1,000 watches, the Avenger II Seawolf Blacksteel is sold with a black rubber strap, a high-tech NATO strap and a third option combining the NATO strap with a rubber lining.
