EDITOR'S REVIEW
Renowned for its beautifully crafted pilots' watches, Bremont has launched its first in-house movement in the limited-edition The Wright Flyer watch. The new Calibre BW-01 was developed and designed in the UK with its baseplates, bridges and rotors all crafted in Bremont's workshop in Henley. A longtime ambition for the brothers Nick and Giles English, who founded the brand, this exquisite movement is housed in a watch that pays homage to the Wright Brothers' first flight in 1903. Visible through the sapphire caseback is the BW-01 movement, with a small piece of history embedded in the rotor. An aperture shows a fragment of the muslin that was used to wrap the Wright Flyer, the airplane designed and flown by the Wright brothers. This model of The Wright Flyer watch is housed in a 43mm stainless steel Bremont Trip-Trick case. The black dial proudly displays London as its manufacture location, with central hour and minute hands and a running seconds subdial at 9 o'clock. The British-made automatic movement has a power reserve of 50 hours and is water resistant to 100m. Presented on a black alligator leather strap, this historic watch is limited to 300 pieces.
