EDITOR'S REVIEW
Featuring a new Cartier automatic movement for 2013 - the 1904 MC, the brand's first chronograph, developed entirely in-house - the Calibre de Cartier Chronograph in stainless steel is another boldly masculine watch from one of the world's most highly regarded luxury brands. With that familiar oversized XII Roman numeral stamping Cartier's instantly recognisable style on the dial, the design captures the sporty elegance of the Calibre de Cartier line, with subtly placed sub-dials at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, and a similarly restrained calendar aperture at 6 o'clock. Zoom in and you can get a better look at that partly-snailed dial. A process in which a pattern of tiny circular arcs is engraved onto the watch face, it is typical of Cartier's attention to the finer details.
