Her beloved studio and workbench are an endless source of inspiration for Hong Kong-based jewellery designer Candice Luk, with the solid shapes and patterns of tools and machinery reappearing in the very jewels they are used to create. Candice started out working as a journalist but her passion for accessories led her to retrain in metalsmithing and jewellery-making before launching her eponymous label, Candice Luk Fine Jewellery, in 2008. This diamond-studded white gold bangle mimics the tooth shape of an industrial gear wheel, with a design that encapsulates Candice’s belief that jewellery can be both tough and delicate at the same time.
