Magicien Quetzal rubellite and diamond bracelet

A feat of engineering as well as a fabulous one-of-a-kind jewel, this cuff bracelet in white gold is part of Cartier’s 2016 high jewellery collection, Magicien. Inspired by the tropical Quetzal bird, the eye is immediately drawn to the hot pink gems that sit side by side when the bracelet is on: two sugarloaf cabochon rubellites totalling 41.09ct. What makes this bracelet extraordinary, however, is the craftsmanship. Comprised of individual diamond-set “feathers”, streaked with black lacquer, the bracelet is incredibly flexible, with no hidden clasps or hinges.
