EDITOR'S REVIEW
When it was first unveiled in 1912, Cartier's Tortue timepiece was groundbreaking. Inspired by the curved shape of a tortoise shell, the Tortue was a bold step away from the classic round watch silhouette. The Cartier Tortue watches of today retain the classic features of the vintage timepieces while harnessing modern technology. Measuring just 28mm by 34mm and at just 7.6mm thick, this ultra-feminine Cartier Tortue watch in white gold and diamonds has an alligator leather pink strap. The silvered dial is decorated with guilloché enamel detailing, with large black Roman numerals that reflect the shape of the case and blued-steel sword-shaped hands. The white gold Tortue case is illuminated on the bezel and lugs by round cut diamonds, with a single diamond set into the octagonal crown. Powered by a Calibre 8970MC manual winding mechanical movement, Cartier's Tortue watch is waterproof to 30m.
