EDITOR'S REVIEW
The Monsieur de Chanel timepiece has the honour of being the first Chanel watch to be designed especially for men. Although some of the Maison's more iconic watches have had male influences, such as the Boy.Friend watch and the immensely popular J12, the Monsieur de Chanel is entirely for men. Available in beige gold with a brushed gold casing, this 40mm limited edition timepiece features a silver opaline dial with a jumping hours display at 6 o’clock, framed in a window that emulates the shape of Place Vendôme - the home of Chanel’s flagship boutique. This Chanel watch also has the honour of being the Maison’s first in-house movement - Calibre 1 - built from scratch at the company’s manufacture in Switzerland. With an astounding 3-day power reserve, it has all the workings of a modern masterpiece, which could see this iconic fashion house evolving into a serious brand in luxury watchmaking.
