For the first time in the French fashion house’s history, Chanel introduced its famous quilt pattern to its high jewellery offering in a range called Signature de Chanel, which was unveiled during Paris Couture Week. The cuff is made out of individual yellow gold plates that have been micro set with white diamond pavé and placed together to create the quilt effect. Each plate is individually attached to an internal gold structure, which gives it the unusual quirk of rattling when shaken - something that Chanel says was a technical challenge.
