The oak tree carries weighty symbolism since Classical times. As the symbol of Zeus, the god of thunder, the mighty trunk and robust leaves evoke strength and endurance. The branches that reach upwards to the sky were thought to be the link between heaven and earth making the oak leaf a fitting choice of inspiration in the La Nature de Chaumet collection of high jewellery and watches. Each of these white gold earrings feature an acorn and five oak leaves set with diamonds. Showing a delightful attention to detail, the acorn nut is represented by oval-cut diamonds each weighing approximately 1.54 cts, capped with a diamond-set cup.
