EDITOR'S REVIEW
Founded in 1780, Chaumet’s history has been entwined with the history of France, earning royal patronage as the official jeweller to Empress Joséphine. Renowned for its magnificent tiaras and splendid high jewellery collections inspired by nature, Chaumet has translated its jewellery know-how into the diminutive realm of watches with this enchanting secret watch. Chaumet has chosen the Hortensia, or hydrangea flower, as its floral muse for the Hortensia Secret Voie Lactée watch. The diminutive 32 x 29mm white gold case and mother-of-pearl dial are hidden from view with a gorgeous bouquet of hydrangeas, which are brought to life by stone setters and sculptors working with different cuts of diamonds, sapphires and opals. Covered with a mantle of 262 brilliant-cut diamonds, sculpted opals and four majestic marquise-cut sapphires, a prominent diamond at 9 o’clock releases the cover to reveal the time. Presented on a light blue satin strap with a white gold buckle set with diamonds, the Hortensia secret watch is truly fit for a queen.
