EDITOR'S REVIEW
Chopard has achieved a world first with the L.U.C. Tourbillon Qualité Fleurier Fairmined watch. The first luxury brand to develop a watch made from ethically sourced Fairtrade gold, it was made possible thanks to a pioneering partnership with the Alliance for Responsible Miners. Chopard supports a number of cooperatives in Latin America seeking to achieve the Fairmined certification. The Fairmined standard guarantees the communities' social development and environmental protection, improved labour conditions, economic empowerment and a Fairtrade premium for their gold. Limited to just 25 pieces, the elegant Chopard L.U.C. Tourbillon Qualité Fleurier Fairmined watch features a bezel and case back crafted from Fairmined gold. The beautiful satin-brushed and polished rose gold 43mm case houses a charcoal grey dial. The hour and minute functions are indicated by rose gold hands, and the small seconds is housed within the tourbillon at 6 o'clock. The 12 o'clock numeral is replaced by a subdial displaying the nine-day power reserve, and visible through the sapphire case back is the L.U.C. 02.13-LI movement, with exquisite Côte de Genève decoration, delicate gilded inscriptions and 33 jewels. This Chopard L.U.C. Tourbillon Fairmined watch is Qualité Fleurier certified, ensuring the ultimate precision, reliability, durability and quality of finishing. The watch is fitted with a hand-sewn alligator strap and fastens with a Fairmined rose gold pin buckle.
