EDITOR'S REVIEW
L.U.C is an acronym of Louis-Ulysse Chopard, the founder of the brand, and was chosen as the name for top-of-the-line Chopard watches. All L.U.C timepieces are made with in-house movements in the brand’s workshops in Fleurier, and express a classical, refined mood. The L.U.C XPS family are the ultra-thin members of this elite club with gold cases a mere 7.13mm thick. The sober, minimalist dials of these men’s watches are extremely elegant and come in a variety of colours, including this silky sunburst champagne-coloured dial. The slim 39.50mm rose gold case houses a chronometer-certified L.U.C. extra-thin movement - just 3.30mm thick - which manages to store up to 65 hours of power reserve, and has been decorated with Côtes de Genève engravings visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. The watch comes on a champagne alligator strap but, if champagne is not your drink of choice, there are also cognac and burgundy models.
