Celebrating its 25-year sponsorship of the historic Mille Miglia 1,000 mile race between Brescia and Rome, Chopard has released the Mille Miglia Chronograph 2014 race edition watch. Limited to 250 pieces, the rose gold model has a vintage aesthetic that pays tribute to the classic cars that take part in the Italian race. The white dial is accented with the colours of the Italian flag, with a red tachymeter scale and green minute track, while the large Arabic numerals consolidate its vintage appeal. The caseback is engraved with the '1000 Miglia' logo as well as the edition number of the timepiece. If you were lucky enough to be a participant in the 2014 race, one of these timepieces would be yours with your car number engraved on the back. Through the sapphire crystal window of the caseback, the COSC chronometer certified, self-winding mechanical movement can be viewed. The Chopard Mille Miglia watch is presented on a brown leather strap that is reminiscent of the leather straps these vintage cars once used to keep their motors under the bonnet.
