EDITOR'S REVIEW
The first dedicated complication for a woman's watch from renowned Swiss watchmaker Christophe Claret was always going to be one of technical mastery as well as exquisite beauty. A lovers' roulette of 'he loves me, he loves me not' is the inspiration behind this complicated feminine timepiece. The white gold bezel is set with a choice of baguette or snow-set diamonds that encircle a natural blue mother-of-pearl dial. The dial has been inscribed with extracts of Victor Hugo's verses and features a delicate daisy with a yellow sapphire heart in its centre. In true Christophe Claret style, the Margot watch is whimsical and fun. A pusher at 2 o'clock sets a game of roulette in motion: with a single chime, one - or more - of the white lacquered daisy petals disappears and the answer to your love question appears in a window at 4 o'clock. Equipped with a calibre EMT17, an automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve, the rotor is crafted in a flower-shaped carousel, with petals tipped by eight gemstones representing tenderness, passion, loyalty, friendship, hope, purity, joy and trust. The game here is to see which one of these gemstones will line up with the red heart at 6 o'clock.
