EDITOR'S REVIEW
The dramatic bow of this bracelet from the Dior à Versailles haute joaillerie collection, designed by Dior jewellery maestro Victoire de Castellane to evoke the notorious nights at the Palace of Versailles, has been made not in gold but silver. This was the precious metal of choice for jewellery in the heyday of the French palace, in the 17th and 18th centuries. The twisted, blackened silver has been etched to make it look more like a textile, and then laid on top of rose gold. At the centre is a burst of yellow and white diamonds, set in white and yellow gold, that capture the fierce beauty of the stars and the sun.
