With the My Dior Cannage ring, Dior's internationally acclaimed jewellery designer, Victoire de Castellane, has reimagined the classic Cannage design that is so evocative of the French fashion house. Fusing twisted gold cord and rippling gold strands in richly textured 18ct white gold, encircled by a row of round-brilliant diamonds, de Castellane has her own personal link to this emblematic Dior motif. Decades ago, in the 1970s, women who visited the Parisian boutique were often accompanied by a man, a friend or a child. For these children - one of whom was de Castellane - stepping into the House of Dior created indelible memories of the little details, such as the boutique's décor: the pearl grey, the Fontanges bow and the 'cannage' or rattan of the golden Napoleon III chairs. Effortless in its execution, de Castellane's My Dior Cannage ring mirrors the vintage style of the Dior of her childhood.
