EDITOR'S REVIEW
Paying homage to the wonderful couture ball gowns of La Maison de Dior, the Dior Grand Bal timepiece features a hand-stitched rotor set against a jet-black dial. Woven with 1.5m of pink silk thread, the rotor resembles a beautiful web, crafted by traditional lace makers in Le Puy, France, on an old-fashioned bobbin. The 38mm rose gold case is set with white diamonds on the outer bezel with an inner black frame. The black Vietnamese mother-of-pearl dial, dotted with white diamonds, shimmers like the night sky, with the silk and diamond rotor dancing around the dial like a gown twirling around a ballroom. The visible rotor is powered by a specially developed in-house automatic movement, the Dior Inversé 11 ½" calibre, with a 42-hour power reserve. Presented on a patent black leather strap, the Dior VIII Grand Bal Fil de Soie watch is limited to 88 pieces.
