No doubt inspired by the fact that the Pantone Color Institute declared emerald green the Pantone Colour of the Year 2013, Ebel has launched a ladies' timepiece with a malachite dial. The new Ebel Onde Malachite Dial watch incorporates some really unusual features. Firstly, there's that unique stone dial, which is hand-carved out of the mineral malachite and has beautiful stripes of different-coloured greens running through it. Next there's the green gold bezel, an unusual alternative to the more commonly seen rose gold and, with its very slight green tone, the perfect complement to the dial and green alligator strap. Finally, there's the contrast of green gold and stainless steel, a combination that has made a major return to fashion recently. Destined to be a hit for the reenergised Swiss watchmaker Ebel.
